I've tried your method - using Soundflower as audio device in both Reason and Logic but get no audio back to Reason. Do I put them on a flashdrive and put the update in the program files where my plug ins are? I don't recall having to do anything special. What you need to do is add an additional track to your project and add the Waves Rewire plugin, that is installed along with Tune, to that track. I was playing with file paths pointing to the actual locations of the plugins opposed to the location where the WavesShell is but it just doesnt go. Uninstall Waves Central If you have already moved passed this stage and have installed Waves Central but are experiencing problems follow on with these instructions below to start again and clean up that problematic install. The process is convoluted though, and still requires a host program, but essentially using soundflower or similar program in both Reason and the host daw where you use your fx plugins you can route the inserts of a Reason mix channel to the hardware interface outputs to the effect and then back through the hardware inputs into either the same mix channel or a separate track.
Cake bailed out long enough on this I think, being officially supported by Waves - but exception on Tune. All my projects loaded again… But it is not over yet. Top 4 Download periodically updates software information of rewire full versions from the publishers, but some information may be slightly out-of-date. After which, any subsequent load of the Waveshell causes the host Cubase to crash. But I also tried it in Reaper and noticed the Rewire error message.
You are talking about vendor lock in. It may be worth checking. As I've said before, this trick enables me to set the playback position from within Waves. Just load Tune on the track you need. Go to the instrument page in the S1 browser. My pay was fair, but not enough to make dropping a couple grand feasible, that is if I was even given the option to begin with. It is effectively the same as getting my virus in Reason. We have talked to Waves about this, its not impossible that one day iLok for Linux might emerge, but I would not hold your breath. Can My Computer Handle ReWire? Since waves is mostly known for fx I forgot they have 2 synths , I automatically thought he meant routing to vst fx which is indeed a bit more complicated than using a vst instrument. At the top there should be a folder called unknown vendor, that's where the rewire devices are, drag in the Waves Rewire Device into the arrangement.
That is just the cost of doing business in the commercial world. Apply it to the track you want to tune, play the track so that it can read and record the performance's pitch, and then go back and tune it. Maybe there's somehting else going on as well, what else do you have loaded in your song? So, Mixcraft can tell other apps to start playing audio, but other apps can't control Mixcraft via Rewire.
I can understand possible latency problems with Soundflower. And still there are no updates on anything in Gold series where this was part, so Waves are not fast in fixing problems that's for sure. It is showing up now as Waves Rewire. The only other clue I have right now is that Reaper x64 only loads the 32 bit version, as it says this in the plugin names. That is one reason I ditched Pro Tools and use Ardour at home. I have only tried this in Sonar X3e with WavesTune lite. . But working making correction is really cumbersome since you normally set a looped time range to work on a transition. Like I said, make sure you have installed Waves correctly as well.
What you are seeing at startup is actually a message telling you the rewire service in S1 has started. All I have to do is double click loopmidi to get these instruments into Reason. At least I got it on sale and didnt pay 300 for it. Any help would be great! If you happen to find out anything on this, I would be greatful. It rescans everytime play is activated. It's proving to be a pretty tricky scenario - for me anyway! It is so easy - Well I don't have any problems with it. Yes it is possible - Very easy to do also.
